OCZ tech to introduce 620W PSU

Speed demanding more power

By Fuad Abazovic in Canada: Tuesday 21 September 2004, 18:49

OCZ TECHNOLOGY is a company that we know more for their ultra fast tweaked cheeked memories thAn as a PSU (Power Supply Unit ) manufacturer.
Nevertheless, company saw an opportunity and made a very fancy cool looking PSU that can provide you up to astonishing 620 W.

Well if you want to go down the SLI mode you will have to have this kind of power.

That’s not enough as they are talking about next generation stuff, PSU that will provide you as much as 620 W.

I can regretfully say that 486 computers used way less then 200W PSUs and now we are talking about 620W. Good lord.

What next? in five years your PSU will draw more power than all the other electrical devices in your house. ยต

If it's true then when ? :)

About how much is it going to retail for? Not looking for a definite, just approximate.

Is it just a bigger version of the same thing, or are there other changes also?

I think its just bigger and better. I'm going to guess something like more stable (is that a word?) voltages, ability to kick out more under stress. Something like a SLi overclocked rig would need.
