I purchased a Royal window air conditioning unit. My question is when I remove the thermostat how would I go direct without frying something?

I am currently just using the unit to cool my system.

System Info:
Thermaltake Xaser II A6000C case, with AMD XP 2500, MSI MS-6570 Motherboard, ATI 9600 Pro, Creative Audigy Gamer sound card & 512mb 2100 ram.

The connection on the thermostat should be two wires. Once the probe on the thermostat hits the preset temp it breaks the circuit to the compressor. I have a Hampton Bay 5000 btu and it was a simple as pulling the two wires off the thermostat and joining them together. Now it runs constant untill I turn it off at the main switch.

Oh and welcome to Xtreme ! :toast:

Leave the tstat connected and remove the probe from the front of the coil and move it to the condenser then it will stay warnm and the unit will never shut down.

Ok I finally broke down and purchased my first Liquid Cooling unit. It's probably not the best, however it will have to do its an AquariusII by Thermaltake.

Also I purchased some plexiglass cut to my Condensers specs & purchased marine sealant. The sealant takes 48 hours to seal and 7 days to completely cure. This is the only water sealant that home depot had! I tried to find plastic welder, however no Luck!

Here are some Pics!
