Hello guys....
Before I begin, let me just say that I am amazed by some of the great OC work you've done...Congrats on such spectacular results! :toast:

I have just picked-up a new XP 2400+ to use with a sample KT4 Ultra. Unfortunately, the highest Vcore I can reach is 1.75V which is hardly enough...

Is there a way I can squeeze some more juice into this voltage-hungry CPU?

With P4's, I always used the wire-trick....anything similar here?

Thanks ahead of time guys!

:D

You might be better off modding your 2400 and setting a default vcore of 1.85, then using bios to reduce it if you want to run lower...This should work...not that great but better than being limited at 1.75...

Do You have a similar chip as mentioned on my site http://cp-geek.servepics.com/waterwww Go to "assembly" In KT3 Ultra the chip is labeled 6301.

I know, this is a long-shot, but it doesn't hurt, does it ?

Pin 7 to ground off the HIP6301Cb controller next to your cpu socket. You need a 47K VR for this to be safe, although a 20K or so will work just fine as well. Setting 47k will basically turn the vmod off, 20K will give you approximately +0.3v.

If you need pictures check out the KR7a, KX7-333 and KD-7 vmods as theyre exactly the same :).
