yeah that would be my guess....65nm Dothan dual cores OR 65nm Northwood dual cores. Really can't say.

I don't think it'll be 64 bit though

is it just me or is that article alittle misleading?

it makes it sound like the entire P4 line was canceled.
but they only say the 4.0 has been canceld.
thats been posted atleast 3-4 times here in the last week and isn't really news anymore, everyone seems to know.
if it was indeed the entire P4 line was scrapped, in preparation for something new, that would be huge news indeed.

hmm, i really doubt the entire p4 line was sacked...The p4 will prolly scale to 3.8, and if the stock watercooling solution by intel become popular who knows, maybe they might bring back the 4.0 (which i also really doubt)...

i think they're having a big change in their design, they found out that mhz speed alone won't do it so they must be pulling all stops to make a similar chip to the AMD64

Intel is trying to push stock water cooling?

Intel = :owned:

yeah Intel has the idea that "hey, since a BTX case didn't solve our problems and we're just gonna keep making this processor hotter, why not just change the cooling?"
I think its so Intel can make it into the "quiet" PC market with the Prescott.

sounds like a plan, but it will be way expensive and doubt the performance will rise much!
