Ok first my specs:
Abit NF7-s FSB at 230
Mobile XP2500 overclocked from 1837 to 2540
Geil Golden Dragon PC3200 2 x 512
2x36 gig Raptors in Raid 0
1xMaxtor 120 gig ide and 1xmaxtor 160gig ide
52x burner and Pioneer 107d DVD burner
Gainward 6800GT gs ultra/2400 (plugged into separate p[ower lead)
telphone modem
adaptec scsi card for my scanner
2x 120 mil case fans
2x 90 mil case fans
2x 80 mil case fans
Antec True Control 550

The problem: I keep loosing my network connection. All other computers on my network are fine and can access the net.

I bought the Gainward 2 days ago. Before that the computer was working fine. I formatted and rebuilt my raid array and still have the same problem. Sometimes it will do it right away and sometimes it takes a several hours. I am using the onboard lan port. I just installed a smc pci net adapter to see if this one behaves in the same manner......time will tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated... :(

have you moved the card into different pci slots?

might wanna try a dlink or netgear nic, my dlink was great.

Im using the onboard NIC. I am in the process of waiting for it to fail again. I have a secondary SMC PCI nic installed. When the onboard nvidia nic fails...I want to see if the pci one has failed as well.
