Thats wrong. Intel are right ;)

This new EE hopefully will perform good.

FUGGER, you got one on the way :D?

I dont think so, several things odd.

.09 + M0

It should have shorter pipeline too, unlike prescott

My email from Intel has same specs 2mb L2

dothan has 2mb L2 as well.

yes, on order.

My Dothan ES will be here by very soon.

Wow. 90nm Northwood? 2MB L2 cache? 800Mhz FSB? 775? Where do I sign up?

what mobo are you planning to use with this?
afaik only aopen has normal mobo for pent m's (agp+3 pci slots).
or there is something we don't know? ;)

My Dothan ES will be here by very soon.

:slobber:

Oh BTW, what happened to the 3.4EE ES + IC7 max3 combo?

Looks like it's time for me to go 775 :D

I still have most of the Max3 still intact. I pulled the raid drives and CPU out.

Let me guess, another $1000 chip that performs like a midrange A64? ;)

Hopefully it clocks well. Gallatin has always performed better than Preshott and the L2 Cache should have improved latency characteristics vs. the predecessors L3.

FUG: any word on a 1066 version?

mmm..I think that might be a typo. Intel was going to make LGA775 NW (I think...I remember Ithink Donnie said it...if not sorry Donnie.) 90nm NW wouldn't surprise me tho.

To be honest, I am gonna wait for the last gallantin revision (1066 BUS) after thinking a bit.

I can't even keep track of all the Intel chips these days.

wow, it should perform like a beast! just wished that intel stuck with the northwood core and worked with it by increasing cache size to 1mb instead of bringing all new core to replace it.

Yea I hear ya, but the scotties are overclocking like monsters. 5GHz stable through 3d mark now. This is only the begining :D

Well some of the Presc updates I did look forward too, tweaked memory controller, tweaked HT and SSE3. Add those to a nice L2 cache of 2mb and I'd think you'd have a nice core machine.

So 90nm makes me think the this SL7RR is Prescott based, just not @1066 bus, but can't say. EM64T support? SSE3? And will the 1066 FSB cpu's be bad oc'ers such that the SL7RR is a better buy for oc?

Lots more questions on this news... :)
