To all of My fellow Forum members,

Can you give me an approximate gain I could expect from putting two(2) 172w pelts on my DangerDen Maze 2-2 on my system(I.E.,Temps/Etc...)?

Any comments would be appreciated;)

heh, expect to see a 02 GT rolling into street 1-2 and take the title in about 7 months (really want a super charger before I build my system again)

not sure about temps.... my single 226 on a maze3 keeps my P4 2.26 at 30c at 3.06 at full load..... though my cooling is horrible.... need more fans.

also, 8x 6 1/2s? you might want to think about replacing them with adire kodas.... 8mm one wasy excursion. also, kenwoods are not really that hyped for SPL.... enough of them and they can be..... but I'd shoot for Blue Print, Adire, or maybe DD.... I love audio.

for the setup I'd go with a single 226 pelt personally, or dual 226... they get colder than the 170s....

I think two 170's should get you under 15 consistantly probably closer to 10c.
Edit: my single 226 kept my athy 1600+ running 1920mhz @ 1.85 and was around 15c most of the time. My best ever temp was -11c at idle on a cold night.
As for car audio... my system is mild.
Kenwood Excelon head unit
MTX4320 amp
12inch IDQ sub in a 1 cuft stuffed box
Kicker resolution 6.1 components
I have a 6cd changer mounted ... but no way to use it with this setup.(was free, came w/car)

two 172w pelts would give you slightly better temps than a single 226w, i'd say 5-10C. whether this is really worth the upgrade and work, is up to you...

also, maze 2-2c waterblocks can support EITHER 1x50mm peltier, or 2x40mm peltiers. good luck finding 40mm 172w pelts

I've had a maze 2.2 with 2 172 watt tecs, Worked great but a §§§§§ to insulate, I switched to the swift 462-ut, And been running condensation free for 5 months, Fast setup, just bolt it on.

Great gaskets on it.
