Hi guys,

I've got a budget memory module for borow :) so I tested it how far it would come compare to TCCD chips.

Well the result are quite awesome for budget ram.

280Mhz 3-4-3-5 1T 2.63v on the DFI UT NF3

285Mhz 3-4-3-5 1T 2.85v memtest stable
290Mhz 3-4-4-8 1T 2.85v errors pass 1
290Mhz 3-4-4-8 1T 2.90v errors pass 1
300Mhz 3-4-4-8 1T 2.90v to much errors , bios bootable

Please share your TCCC results

how far can you go 2.5-3-3-7 ?

Man that's killer budget ram. here's my Crucial Ballistix for comparison. its about the same as your budget!!!

I backed my Cpu speed way down just for memory testing. But this is with the same timings and the same Motherboard as you.

I have not tested it max with CL2.5, but at 280MHz it cannot run CL2.5 with any voltage.

Max stable is 2.5v 280MHz 3-4-3-5 1T

Nice ram!! is dat Micron chips same on the OCZ EB's ?

I like my TCCC aswell... Cheap and easy for a decent enough fsb. My CPU-cooling is limiting me, 400 extra MHZ with a cool strong breeze.

but not even 3-3-3 works at high speeds? :/

nice memory but do they run ras-cas 2 and at what speed? :)

i dont think they can do 2-2-2 at DDR400...

the "good" tccc ocs to 240mhz 3-3-3 :/

They suck at timings, i can run 2-2-2-5 @ 140~ and even then it's suicide unstable. It's simply not meant to be. It aint TCCD you know...

Tryed lower timings and indeed they su-ck !

265MHz 2.5-4-3-5 is the highest speed with the lowest timings. At 2.5V, higher doens't make difference. I think this mem only like 2.5v :D

At 250MHz is can do 2.5-3-3-7 1T at 2.5v

Highest possible is 287MHz 3-4-4-8 with no errors in memtest.

Guys benching 1x256 or 2x256 is just an UTTER waste of time.256 modules put next to NO LOAD on a memory controller and as such clock real well.

If you going to test ram test 1x512 and 2x512 to show us how good the ram really is....PLEASE.

true...but still a nice budget ram. My infineon 256mb does not reach 280 :)

And I only got one of these...

I have 2x512 in mine. Mine hits 240 fsb 3-3-3-8 totally stable, haven't tried lowering them. I don't think it's gonna work.
Bigtoe, we don't bench with a gig you know... :stick:

tccc=tccd for the poor, dont expect them to have 1gb  :D j/k guys hehe

Waste of time??? You of all people should know better than anyone that's not true. A lot of guys use 2x 256 for benching. And please tell me what other reason there is to buy OC ram..

I understand 2x 512 is nice for kicks and games..but not needed for some benching.

Really good 2x256mb sticks will do awesome compared to any 2x512mb's for benching unless the bench is memory size intensive. A set of 2x256mb BH-5 without Ram interleave enabled at 285 is still probably going to beat a 2x512mb set of BH-5 with ram interleave enabled at 272FSB for superpi and 3dmark01.

Finally all the talk about BF2 has anyone done a framerate comparision with 1gb and 2gb sets. The only person that I have heard talk about there experiance with 1gb vs 2gb was Sjaak over @OCF and he said that the with his 9800xt he didn't notice a difference between 1gig and 2gigs of ram.

I noticed a difference. Load times went down. Stuttering went away. Game played much smoother.

Very nice results.

My TCCC get only 230 3-3-3-8 2Tand 2,8V

I not tested with 1T wet.

I have some Old Silver Heat Spreader Patriot 3200LL with Samsung TCCC on it with some real weird PCB's. I hav enever really tried pushing it to far on an AMD but I know on my Intel with the DFI 875P-T it would run 1:1 with the chip at 2-3-2-5 1T @ 269 FSB. On my Neo2 Plat I could not get it past 235 1:1 with the chip. I am going to give it a shot on my DFI NF4 Ultra-D and see what I can get out of it. By the way it is 2 X 512MB sticks.

I sold them without overclocking (because I am motherboard limited) but they CAN'T do 2-3-3-6 @200 Mhz, neither @166 Mhz.

No probs. @ ~200 Mhz with 2,5-3-3-6 @2,6V.

This is the SPD table:

Just thought I'd resurrect this thread.. I was playing around with some old 'Kingston Value Ram' that I had bought back in the AXP days. It just kept going and going..

I had similar results with vdimm, undervolting the ram seemed to generate the best results. 2.5V.

Memory is TCCC.
270MHz, 3-4-3-0 1T @ 2.5V

I cant do much better than 270 regardless of timings, CPC or even vdimm. Seems to hit a pretty hard wall.

I still have to do some long term stability testing in Windows, but this passed test 8 in Memtest86 for 20 minutes so far.. Ram does 250MHz at it's default 3-3-3-8 timings btw, and tops out at about 225MHz at 2.5-3-3-6.

Not too shabby for value ram :D

EDIT: Failed prime at 270, Is 270 too much to ask for from this ram! I demand results! Oh wait, I forgot this is $49 value ram, I'll settle for 265  :D
