Hello i would to decrease the vcore of my 2ghz nw cpu. because they is runing on laptop.

is there anyway to decrease the voltage?
i think 1.3v is good?
or shold i give 1.4v?

on the hs is the following:

Can anybody tell me how to mod the cpu runing to 1.3v or 1.4v
what you think run the cpu with only 1.3v or is that too few?

So i have find many people the y have modified the nw 1.5v version to runing @ 1.85v

they have maked a conection on all vid pins see this:

Your chip is rated for 1.5V at 2.0 GHz. Just because it's in a laptop doesn't mean that you can get away with less voltage at that clock speed.

Lowering the voltage can make your chip unstable. You can modify the chip to run on 0.1 less volts (but not easily), and it may work, but considering the age of the processor (produced in April 2002 and B0 stepping) it may not be reliable.

If you want a lower voltage rating, you can buy an actual 2.0GHz mobile chip to use in the laptop. These are a higher yield chip that runs at 1.300V by default.

i havend the money at this time.

i havent anought work. ;-)

i have found that status 1 not connectet. and status0 conectet to vss.
thats relly simple.

the problem i see is the same as you.
i dont know the cpu run @ 1.3v stable.
I hope that;-)
and to the mobile cpu. they run on desktop with multi 12x( because speedstep) that mean on my laptop with 1200mhz. thats not enough.

A mobile chip in a desktop will run at 12x multiplier, yes, simply because the desktop machine does not know how to use the GHI# pin to tell the processor to function with the performance multiplier (the chip's default...in this case 20x).

A mobile system, on the other hand, knows how to do this. A mobile chip in a mobile system will run at the advertized 20x speed and switch to the 12x multiplier when instructed to do so by the system for battery savings (conservation mode). The system can also run at 2.0 GHz all the time, simply by configuring the power management software to never enter conservation mode. Battery life will suffer, however.

the laptop use a desktop cpu and not mobile. the chipset is a 845.

You were concerned a mobile chip would run at 1200 MHz in your laptop because it does so when in a desktop board. I was trying to tell you that the mobile system will allow it to run at 2 GHz.
