so my chiller is done enough to be applied to a cpu. but im having issues over the mobo insulation

im gonna use vaseline as the dielectric grease in the socket and stuff, and i know liquid electrical tape is good for pcb insulation, but im kind of wary of usin it because i tried it a bit, and it seems it would be a PITA to get off if i had to RMA a board.

can i skip the l.e.t. and just use mastic tape (seal string), and then a layer of foam insulation or two? seems like seal string would be a lot easier to get off of the board than the l.e.t.

thanks ;)

I've read of other people using seal string with good results.

What I have is seal tape. It's like tape with adhesive on one side, and with a thin layer of a closed cell insulation on the other.

ok thanks i think ill just try it out with seal string, hopefully no dead mobos :o
