woo, i gave up on my chiller a while ago, but i was sick today so i decided what the hell, ill finish it. i decided to keep it ghetto, cuz ghetto cooling is the best

so i found a tide detergant tub, and cut a slot in it, then filled it with denatured alcohol/acetone mixture, for the coolant. the A/C is 5100btu for $80 at home depot. water block is a dtek spiral i got for $15, pump is some 100gph crap i got for $20 at OSH. soo it cost around $125 total, including tubing and random stuff

also i havent insulated at all really, so when i do that will prolly drop coolant temps by about 5c. im going to post more pics when its insulated and finalized ;)

on to the pics:

if u see where the top half of the evaporator is frosted, im going to duct air through that to get uber cold air for chilled air GPU cooling, through a duct with a fan on it

yay, im gonna update tonight when i finish insulting

get a bigger res, it shouldnt be hard to find something that can house the chiller...

dont you have those double wanded plastic tons in the homestore shops in the states? they are double wanded and have air between the inner and the outer ton, so its insulating a bit already. should be perfect.

If I correctly understond, saaya is talking about container for your
waterchiller - this container have a two walls and air, which is in
between these two walls, is isolating heat

Just a larger reservoir with small insulation ;)

try a water cooler, esky sort of thing. Dual walled with air in between will improve you temps even more.

yes, exactly, but you probably dont want that spout thingy, maybe just a standard ice-beer cooler would do
