Newbie Q : X800 XT/PRO/PRO VIVO?

Hello

I'm a newbie at gaming video cards. Can someone please describe to me which is the best performing VPU? Is there a Platinum Edition also?

ATI RADEON X800 XT (AGP)
RADEON X800 PRO (AGP)
RADEON X800 PRO VIVO (AGP)

Are the X800 series better than 9800 series? It's a bit confusing, thanks.

X800 XT (PE) highest ranking card
X800 PRO VIVO (pretty much X800 XT with 4 pipes disabled thru bios)
X800 PRO (week 11 & 16 GPUs are botched X800 XTs can be hardmodded to X800 XT)

and yes, there is a platinum edition of the x800xt, its 20mhz higher on he core and 50 on the ram, there is no platinum of the x800pro or 9800 series

Could you explain the last part of that quote: week 11 & 16 GPU's are botched X800 XT and can be hardmodded to X800 XT.

What are 11 and 16 GPU's ?
How can you determine wether you have a X800Pro ViVo versus Pro?
You said a X800 can be hardmodded. Will that make it perform as a X800 XT or will you also need to do a softmod?

the x800 pro vivo can be softmodded with a bios flash and actually performs better than an xt, however it is quite risky and i know masterofpuppets killed his card by flashing it.
the x800 pro standard can be modded in a way similar to athlon cpus involving joinind 1 lasercut bridge; this is less risky as the trace can be wiped away if the mod fails.
bear in mind though that the cards ended up in the pro pile in the factory for some reason so your mod may not be 100% succesful.
