Hi

That's the message (topic title) I sometimes get when I try to boot.
And when I finally did get in I immediatly made a bios flash disk, but when I tried to flash my bios I got, after a few secs, the following message:
- unknown flash type

Does anyone know what I should do now?
tnx

I've gotten that message before when trying to unlock my Amd procs before. It usually means that I didn't unlock it quite right, that either one of the bridges are grounding out or touching one of the other bridges. Not sure what type of rig you've got, but that could be it if you're running a unlocked amd setup.

No it's not unlocked, and I didn't mess with it at all.

my rig :
AMD 1800+ (locked)
Abit Kx7 333 R
256 MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM
etc...

Let's start from the beginning then, give us a list of your system spacs, revisions, etc... even down to the os. I'll send out a couple pm's to some others that I think might be able to talk you through this.
Btw, you didn't get any kind of power glitches or whatever while you attempted to flash did you?
