Can someone recommend a good motherboard for me

I am looking for an Athlon based motherboard that has good overclocking options for 2200+ and beyond tbreds and dosen't require the user to mod the chip at all. Is abit currently the only company that offers this. If so how have they stacked up and what is the best offering right now from them. Thanx :)

I read a review, i can't remember which site it was, that had the latest Epox offering also having the CPU unlocked, (8k9a) was the motherboard. Epox make great OCing boards, but these board only has vcore options to 2.0v.

Only 2V? Weird..the 8K3A/+ has upto 2.2V (not sure about the 8K5A). Why would they drop the Vcore options down?

That was exactly my reaction, i guess people were killing too many CPUs or something, don't know what that has to do with the mobo manufacture.

Maybe, coz the cheap mosfets and other assorted cheap bits and pieces couldn't handle the extra stress.
Ahh well.

The reasoning they gave me was that the boards w/ 2.2v were made for the Palominos which can handle that voltage while they think the Tbred can only handle 2.0v. Suckers ;)

Also don't forget that the T-Bred's default voltage is 1.65v and not 1.75v like for the Pally's, thus they can afford to drop the voltage a bit :)

From what I'm hearing the new Tbred's aren't havin much of a problem with over 2v...personally, I'd rather decide whether I wanna send more than 2v to it than let EPoX decide. And I dun wanna hear that over 2v will fry it...I'm positive I could fry 1 w/ under 2v if I really wanted to ;)

N8 I noticed that your agoia 0213 Y does over 2gh I have exactly 1 like you for spare but mine did 1900 at first try then I switched to my 0212 agoia K that does 2gh how much did you reach with yours before burnin?
