which is probably not worth a new thread on it's own as he is still testing and presumably will go higher, but I'm interested by the

first test - X800XT + FX53

part of it.

FX53 eh ? So when did that appear in macci's pad ?

I was thinking that 40k in 3001 would be a danish or portugese affair, with Opp being very quiet, but macci having an FX53 puts a new spin on it.

I assume 3Ghz for macci's FX53 in 3dmark05 is because it does not need cpu power, wonder what the actual top for that cpu is ?

The people getting 10k, 20k, 30k in 3dmark is a fairly small bunch so I'm intrigued who will get 40k .

macci just needs #1 in 01 to be the on the top for all of em

...also noticed that he only has a vapoLS on the cpu and says that there are no artifacts displaying...

I havent seen Macci around in a while, hes been silent all those months tweaking up for the big 40 I recon ;) Maybe hes waiting for his winchester he ordered to come ;)

He hasn't been that silent lately. He took number one in 05 and posted 18.5 in 03. Took a 3.6 to 6ghz. I wouldn't say he's been that silent. Can't wait to see what's next.

Did you miss the whole event, when macci & the stilt broke 6 GHz.? :p: :D Some of us noticed HUGE traffic here. ;)

How about it. I couldn't believe it when I saw over 1100 people viewing the overclocking threads. I thought it was a glitch.

3Dmark05 only further demonstrates how pathetic my system is. I am only getting about 23xx with a non OCed 9800Pro. I really need one of those X800s. :)

what I mean is after like 3 months we see macci suddenly get back to tweaking. He may be busy with other things in his life besides tweaking. Id love to see a 40k from him though ;)

Id love to see a 40k from him though ;)he took a break for summer, but came back with his 03 scores, and then 6ghz, and then 05 scores. i could hardly call that away from tweaking
