Well, I have decided to scrap Red Hat 9 for now and give FreeBSD Unix a try. So far, it is great. Though I am not too keen on the setup program  . Is there any BSD users on XS other than me? Or am I the first?

I've run OpenBSD on servers for a number of years -- my main NAT/router/proxy at home is an OpenBSD 3.6 box, but I've never tried it as a desktop OS.

It can run quite a few programs including most linux programs. The main differences are just the way is handles hardware and packages. It is a pretty good desktop os if the setup program doesn't scare you off :P.
