it's got a annoying bug that I can't fix.

when I have the song at say half volume, then fast forward the song, the song goes back to max volume.
this makes it a huge pain the ass to use cause I use headphones late at night to avoid waking people up, but I am about to go deaf from the sudden VOLUME increase that happens every time I make a adjustment in a song.

windows media player 8 was perfect, I want that back. 9 and 10 are just a pain in the ass.

Um...I am not sure if you an remove it...my Windows Player 10 works just fine and I love it. It doesn't hang up on me at all anymore and I don't have that volume problem I know. Maybe it is some other software issuse on your system...

start > control panel > add/remove programs find it on the list and remove it, should work then you just have to find media player 8 to download and install

If you haven't disabled system restore you may want to check that...

yeah but 2.91 is slimmer, yet has the library function as well

I use Media Player for Vids and WinAmp for Music.
I think MP 10 is not better than 9.

If there is no option to remove the MP I would contact the M$ support !

I use Winamp 5. I just disabled the crappy media browser and set it to use playlist instead. It also supports DiVX and XviD if you have them installed unlike Winbl0w$ Media Player.
