Hello

My chiller have a 130W (for comparision, 150W = 1/5HP) R12 compressor,
condenser, which can handle load around 800W. It will cool CPU (~150W),
NB (30-40W) and GPU (~50W), so, the maximum load is ~230-250W.

This stage will be refilled by R22, capillary tube will have 0.8mm ID

I'm thinking that these informations are enough for you to calculate
length of capillary tube..

Thanks and best regards ;)

I cant remember the exact numbers but I think a chiller uses .031cap and I think 6ft=200w. I could be wrong though

Then, for 250W load, 7.5ft (228.6cm = ~2.3m) length would be okay..

is ur captube 0.026" ??
if so u can try 5.5 feet...

0.026" = 0.6604mm (~0.7mm)
0.031" = 0.7874mm (~0.8mm)

So, answer's : no ;) I want length for 0.031"

For more watts i thing that you must use a shorter cap tube....

2.0m should be good for 0.031

Is there a method to calculate the cap tub?is this http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=29694&page=1&pp=25
ok for Chilled Liquid Cooling systems also?

In order to use the chiller for prescott which is nearly 200W I used 2.3 metres of 0.028 cap
gas r404
compr 1/4

do you think it is ok?

Determing cap tube size is hard to calculate,their are charts available for different refrigerants and loads but final length is always done by system testing.Because these systems evaporators are unique ,charts would be a ball park estimate at best. This is where experience with design is very important. walt

try 51" (4.25ft) 0.028. It will hold much better under load.
