I'm looking at a 226w tec for the cpu and a 80w tec for the gpu it will be cooling a 3400+ and x800xt. The rads will be a 2x120mm heatercore and a 1x120mm heatercore. Shrouds will be used on both and they will be pulling air from the outside.

My question is do you think that I have enough heatercore power to dissapate al the heat?

yes, BUT a second dual 120mm instead of the single 120mm will probably get you better temps. like 5C i think... depedns on the rads though, hard to say.

it should work fine, try it and if the temps are too high you can still add or replace a rad :)

Do you think it would be wise to set this up for a 24/7 rig?? I have never used a pelt on a cpu but run one 24/7 on my gpu.

Also how will the 226w pelt handle the 3400+. And have you heard anything about the swifty block that comes with the 226w tec? Sorry for all the question and answer but you seem pretty knowledgable on this subject.

In my experience the "226W" TEC that comes pre-installed in the Swiftech block is less than good. The clamping force was very low (not enough torque put on the hex screws installed in the cold plate) and there was not enough thermal paste, looked like it might have been AS3. I have removed it and will be installing a 320W TEC with AS5 and will be controlling the clamping using a torque wrench (in-lbs). Overall, performance was lacking and I hope to make it much better with a little work.

yes, they use a bit too little termal grease in my expirience.

there are several small beauty marks like this with swiftech products. they are generally very well thought through, but they have some small quality problems. too little grease, cold plate not fastened enough (the cold plate on my mc-371 was NOT fastened at all but just sueck to the tec with as (3?) and fell off after i played with the tec  ) they use too little termal grease, the molex plugs have lose cables, cables are too thin, insulation has some small gaps and is not glued that well.

but they are of great raw material and can be tweaked easily, and they still offer a great price/performence ratio :D
