-using a 1/6 rotary r12 compressor.
-running r22 in it...
-watercooled coiled condensor
-1/4" copper tubing as evap....
-5.5 feet of 0.0026 captube
-water temp after few hours 1.+ c..
-if my temp probe is stuck in a ice in the chiller res...temp probe shows -25c

anything ive done wrong?...captube 2 long?
pics up later....

Use anti-freeze. Water can't get colder than 0c under normal surcomstances.
The ice CAN get colder so there the temperature is lower.

Antifreeze isn't the best thing to use i'd go with a methanol/water mix. In fact that's what I used in my chiller. I flows great at low temps I had it down to -40.7c with no slushing. Can't do that with antifreeze.

Epsilon nice pics. :)

uhh? a typical antifreeze rating is -67c? in fact i have two diff brands ones 50/50 other is pure, 50/50 = -35c 100% = -67c ....indeed.

A glycol based antifreeze gets very viscous. Like sunflower oil :).

Epsilon nice pics :)
tnx :D

It might not get slushy but like Epsilon it is ratehr viscous. Which hurts you flow rate, though at low temps it's not a big concern.

this is how my chiller looks like
will post up pics of the temp later
went down to -40 lowest...

still using tap water..lol
havent got myself the antifreeze yet

Condenser cooled by oxydian.. interesting

What about temperature of water? What is kinda of watercooler's radiator's
cooler, 12x12x2.5 or something?

i made a spiral condensor...den its cooled by a custom made radiator...
here are some updates ....the temp probe suprised me when i turn it on...
its not anti freeze + water inside..
its pure tap water.... so everything is frosted and its ice in it....lol
