Ehtanol mixture?

When i poor Ehtanol into my Dry-ice container, how much is needed to get the Coolant effect?

Can i fill my tube with dryice, and then poor a good amount of ehtanol into the tube.. Or will the Eht just vanish?

you will just need to cover the bottom with at few cm or so afaik. it is not there to cool ar anything, but to transfer the heat, you know ;)
adding it before or after dry ice would make no diff i think..

But i ment to ask if it would do any diffrence to fill the tube about 10 cm of Ethanol or just 1-2 CM ?

only fill the container about 10-15% of the way full.
it really doesn't need much fluid.
plus, the more fluid you use, the worse the temps get.
more, isn't better in this case.
filling it with dry ice is fine, but only use alittle fluid.

I always add about 2" to the tube, and then throw in a couple small chips of DI. Don't throw in too much at first or it'll bubble up and do the "volcano" thing. After the alk gets cold, throwing more DI in will have little effect as far as bubbling and stuff.
