Just mounted my Lian Li 6089A on my prometeia compressor unit...
Stage 1 Complete...

You will notice the Base is narrower than the case...
Thats where stage 2 comes in.... along with a new front...

Weird stuff I have noticed...
The evap and cpu have both dropped in temp 4 degrees at idle...
-47 evap and -27 cpu... very weird...
Gonna stress it and see what that results in...
Lookin good my man... What are your plans for the base.:)

Well thats the tricky part....
Was thinking of skinning the sides with sound proof mat and brushed ally sheet to make it the same width...
Then I have the piece of brushed ally sheet that was cut out when lian li made the window (they supply it as well) and make that into the front...
Gonna add a filter to it... and then move the temperature readout up to the floppy bay... Piece of scrap Ally sheet epoxied onto the front of 2 floppy blanking plates should make it look like 1 unit....
Would like to have a small hinged panel in that to cover the buttons, but that might be a lot of hassle, we will see...
I think the base would look nice if I made it look like the bottom of a PC60... think a blue door on it would look a bit iffy....

Congratulations Galifrey very nice, better than my monster LianLi PC 70 + Prometeia.
That temp is very weired because, at least in IT7-Max2, the minimum CPU sensor temperature is -24ºc.
-47ºc on the Prometeia unit is usual for me at idle.
Are you using one external probe to measure the CPU core temp??

I aint got an it7 mate...
epox 4g4a....
And temp went up after compressor warmed up....
back to -23 and -43...
nice case btw, look better wid some ally spray on the drives...
thats only thing that makes yours look any less than mine....

Can you actually buy the evaporation unit on its own at all? I would love a Prometeia but I just don't want to have a whole new case to house it in, I mean I love my Lian-Li :D

Yep, this is something Chip-Con has just started recently. You can buy just the bottom box now and sit your own case on top :D

Cool I just looked over at Chip-Con and they have just the evap unit in black or white. Is it ok to order direct from these guys instead?

Yep, same N8 from AOA...don't go there anymore tho as Daniel ~ & I had it out.
Certainly is nice that Chip-Con decided to sell these things w/o the case now...at least we know they're listening :)

Not willing to spend that kinda money on cooling anyway ;)
Still think the technology is great tho.

hmm was a bout 30kgs, its now considerably lighter....
I'd say its saved about 4-5kgs now... so considerably lighter than my monitor :D

Replace drive blanks with decent front section incorporating grill/filter and then 4 bolts holding piece of blue acrylic away from front.... to match the door....

Yep that`s mine, and there will be soon (3 day`s) a Prometeia-Li-Pro76 on the net. It`s al ready, I only have to make some good pictures and place it in a new site.

bet the double 120's must make a difference to the cooling...
i'll bear that in mind...
wanted to try and keep all my cooling in the base, but it does fit quite nicely in that full tower...
The revised layout is pretty impresssive with the watercooling in its own little partition...
ack... i can beat it :D
got the motivation now...

I know this may seem odd but i am completely new to this site. I have also recently decided to put money into a more overclockable amd system. i have absolutely no idea what these prometeia coolers are. i hope i dont HAVE to mod my case to use one as i just bought a thermaltake 6000a less than a week ago. id really like if someone would either kindly explain these things to me and where to get them or point me toward a thread explaining them.

Just found the perfect base unit for me mod.... just have to transplant the prommy compressor and fit me H20 Gear in the base...
