Spent a few tays to pla with unfamiliar (for me) AMD system. Looks like it is maxxed out now, p/c cooling for vidcard might help though :)

System specs:
Athlon FX-53 (939) @ 2985 MHz (221x13.5) @ 1.8V, cooled by NVENTIV Mach II GT (-15C under load)
ASUS A8V Deluxe, Vdimm modded
Kingston HyperX PC3500 (BH-5) @ 221 (synchro) 2-5-2-2-7-16 @ 3.05V
Reference ATi Radeon X800XT-PE @ 675/630 (Vcore=1.82V, OVP modded), cooled by 3RSystem Poseidon (!)
Sweex Golden Series 650W PSU

3DMark 2001 SE score: 35902 and i returned to TOP-10 with watercooled vidcard! I like my raddy, 675 without xtreme cooling is quite nice...

BTW, testd done with DX9.0b and Win XP SP1. I spent alotta time trying to realize what's wrong with Win2k, but failed. Damn that thing is about 20-30% slower than my XP. Any clues, guys? i'm n00b to AMD benchmarking...

No idea but nice score with watercooling only on the video card.

Air ( hipro ) , water and dual cascades ( Ricky, Pedro et al. ) recently , so lots of variation.

Win2k is suppose to be faster from what i've heard.. Personally in the few hours testing ive done on Win2k i couldnt find the extra speed i heard of so i dont bother with it anymore.

XP with its Forcefull updateing may prove future installs to be quite a pain in the butt, so who knows whats up with that..

Nice Score, i will have probs getting that on my a64/x800p~vivo/XT system im building :)

Hmm, you don't have X800XT in stock in Europe??? Even in Ukraine there are some cards - not much but enough to satisfy the needs of enthusiasts.
Yep that's just watercooling with lame stock $60 system called 3RSystem Poseidon + small Koolance GPU w/block (my EXOS died tonight:(). Well, window was open so room temp was about +20C, but that's not THAT improvement in conditions to call it chilled :) Core temps were about 50C under load.

I spent half of the night with W2k but it is xtremely slow - i can get only around 30-31k on it... So i came to similar decision as you did.

Hope you can get better cooling for your X800 !

Btw, there are some x800xt (pe's) in Europe and some 6800gt/u
But only a few, and the ppl with good conections or the ones who really want these cards get them because they send mails to every shop and it's not easy to get such a Card !

Btw. a little "tip" : 4 3D Mark 03 use the PE and the EE
The P4 EE outperforms every other CPU !

Btw... some friends of mine found a Shop wich has the 6800 AND the x800 Series !

PiFast is ~42.00 (didn't play with it much)
AM3 on mentioned specs - 85xxx
Sandra Mem - 6600. Can get 7450 with 240HTT 2-5-2-2, but 3DMark locks up so found this useless for me...
