Poop! No C1 Stepping for me.

Ordered a 2.4B at newegg.com after reports of C1 stepping and peeps getting 3.1ghz+. So naturally I get an older B0 stepping S-code SL6D7 pack date 9/11/02

should I even bother with oc'ing this? Or just return it? I have a 1.6A@2.56 on my IT7 now and I figure anything less than 3.0-3.1ghz wouldn't be worth the added $ for this cpu. I could return it now w/out restock fee etc.. except for my shipping back. What you guys think?

If you want a C1 stepping, ship it back and hope that the next one will be a good one. But the chance of getting a C1 stepping right now is little as Intel only started to ship the newer ones. Maybe wait another week or so.

I have a SL6D7 Malay and it hits just under 3 GHz with air cooling...
