I'm designing my water cooling setup for my new house and am wanting to do a bong res. thing is I want to use Green UV dye and black lights for effect..... so does anyone know where I can get CLEAR pipe. it needs to be hard like PVC pipe, and about 4-5" in diameter. if anyone can offer ANY help I'd appreciate it. lowes and home depot do not carry such things and cant find a plumping shop anywhere near me......

that third one is perfect.... unfortunatly I need a 6 " and they have no 6" connectors..... oh well. I'll use standard PVC for the end cap and brace......
also, anyone know the best way to attach a brass fitting to it so I can connect a 1/2" ID hose?

man, there is so much crap in there....... I'll never find anything..... with most of the stuff I can get it at lowes, but that 5 foot (is a 5 foot high bong res too tall?) clear pipe was the hard one to find.... now just need a couple end pieces, some hose barbs, and mopre computers to WC :) thanks guys!

hmm what would be more effective.... a single 5 foot tall 6" wide res.. with a few fans on the way down..... or maybe three cylinders of 4" wide and 3 feet tall?

if you're building a bong cooler, your res should open up about a foot below the lowest fan. I think of reservoirs as containers that hold liquid, the part of the bong where the water is falling i prefer to call an "evaporation chamber" :D
if you want a 5-foot tall bong, why not just set it in a couple-gallon cooler, or 5-gallon bucket? With 2 levels of spokes to keep the PVC tube in the center of the bucket, you should be good to go :toast:

I could do that.... but come on.... why not have a large fat clear pipe standing up with glowing liquid running through it..... might even make some toys to make the water go through as well..... sea-saw, paddle wheel, hell have a watter works..... erg.... maybe not, little too childish. we will see in time, moving into the house this week.... so now just wait on cash.

I would be very careful doing this part of your plan. Im not sure about all the different dyes out there, but some are at least slightly toxic. I would definately check out the specs on anything you put into that water other then water before going to that level. Granted, I will admit, it would look awesome with some of the glowing dye and a UV or 2 around it. But Im not to sure if an illness would be worth it! LoL.... Maybe if you were to vent it outside? So anything coming from the water would be vented straight outside so as not to build up the levels inside?
