TTGI PSU = HIPER PSU in UK

Yup, the TTGI is available in the UK... but it doesn't go under the name of TTGI. It goes by the brand "Hiper" and is available in 350, 420, 520 & 620w versions (I think... I only have the 420 & 520w)

What do you think of it Marci (or anyone that has one :D), does it have adjustable pots and last question honest how does it perform??

Not looked for adjsutable pots but it performs fine... Majormav is the guy to talk to... he runs the 550w I think in his prometeia...

they are brilliant psus knock the socks off all others i tried i do find that the 12v rail drops slightly under 12v under big overclock at load however at normal running they are 200% spot on and pricewise they are better than enermax which the hiper replaced as the 12v on enermax went down to 10.7/8 under heavy load at o/c however the hiper goes to 11.8/9 heavy load at same o/c ... well reccomended OPP reviewed em a while back and loved em also

to be honest i havent looked for the ajustable pots as psu is one thing i am very reluctant to mess with

Thank you very much majormav and marci :) it's filled me with confidence as my Hiper 420watt PSU has just arrived at my dad's office this afternoon :D

As soon as I get back home I shall be preforming so open 'puter surgery to swap :D :banana:

It's really for my nForce2 system that shall arrive tomorrow :D the QTec 400W PSU i'm using at the moment is ok but I payed a fiver more for the Hiper than the QTec :D

Lots of molexs for fans and HDDs and hopefully nice stable lines :)

I never looked for the pots as I never found it necessary to adjust em as they do fine straight out of the box!

In France it goes by the name of super flower but you can also found ones that are branded TTGI

Ive been waiting for months now, but its these last couple o days that are the longest strangely ;).

Sort me out a card with a nice flat high core and ill have your kids if needbe ;). Getting sick and tired of low core cards. Every one ive tested now (6!!) has had the core too low down in the shim to get decent contact with any waterblock ive tried. Driving me nuts!

lol... floppy disks m8.

Whip the aluminium slidy bit off a floppy disc, cut it down into a piece the size of the core, apply AS3 to both sides. Should shim it up just enough to do the job, and with it being so thin it shouldn't affect performance of the block drastically... If not, just add 2 pieces instead...

Righty, just whipped off the sink... The Rev3 cards come with an ORB style cooler, which is completely flat based, pre-applied TITAN TGS101 Silver Compound *bleurgh - cheap n nasty*

Now, the cooler is bigger than the core, and has literally a flat base, no elevated sections to fit within the shim, so that means the core is level with the top of the shim. Voila. Doneskis. Soon as I get the go ahead it shall be thine! *Pix'll be posted in a mo*

Yeah the herc card comes witha totally flat based heatsink with the same crappy silver gloop on. Contact looks like it should be good, however when you put a thinner compound on it shows that contact is infact only partial.

Having said that the impression on the sink looks pretty good on that card :).

We shall see ;).

As luck would have it ive got 2 superb cards out of the 6 I got, one does 423 core, but only 335 memory, the other does 378 memory but only 342 core - GAH!! I need to find the magic card out there with my name on that does both :D.

i own a TTGI-420SS (420 watt model). i love it!!


never looked for the adjustable pots, haven't needed to yet.. however, i haven't really stressed it much, and haven't gotten a huge overclock yet.... yet;)

I recieved mine last night :) All I can say is wow already I am impressed; dual fan, adjustable fan speed, weighty (so it feels like quality!! :D), tank like construction and an already sheathed ATX cable :D

Also the packaging looks very professional and contains everything you need to run it :)

Can't wait to fit it :) along with the rest of the kit (which arrives today ;)

Manual, MAINS CABLE, er... some bubble-wrap... and the PSU!

I recieved manual, screws, mains cable (all three of these items I have never ever recieved with a PSU before :)) and a bubble wrapped PSU (which also is something that I haven't recieved before :))

Everything needed to get it installed (minus the rest of the pc :p)

Really pleased with it and glad it was suggested to me :)

Just picked up some sprial wrap from maplins to sheath the rest :)

Also some doing some other bits and pieces such as internal USB leads and stuff :)
