Broken Pump?

Well i got a Iwaki MD-15R pump today, i hooked both the inlet/outlet's to around 1 meter of tubing, dropped both the tubes into a bath tub full of water ...switch her on and nothing is coming out of it.

the properler thing is turning and making noise ...so why is it not blowing anything out? Is it truely broken?

anyone got this pump? any weird experiences?

The pump doesnt soak water when the tubing is filled with air. Make sure the tube leading from the bath to the pump inlet is filled with water and it will pump ;)

it was half primed ...i did the same with my eheim 1250 and it pumped ...even without priming at all it keeps on soaking up the water.
