Hi!

I'm after a processor, mobo and memory upgrade (no expense spared).

I'm a P4 fan, cus I currently run my 3c @ 4650.

So, I'm just wondering what spec I should go for. I will be after an LGA w/ DDR2. However, I am in the dark about what brands to buy, etcetera.

I still want decent dividers on my setup, so if the LGA775 compromises dividers for bus speed or whatever, I'd probably skip it.

4:5 would be a keen starting position.

Do LGA chips+chipsets offer flexible (300+ mhz fsb) bus speeds?

My budget is £1800 for decent memory, cpu and mobo upgrade (nothing else).

What could this buy me?

Cooling is handled by a phasechange -50 system.

I'm not sure that will really be an "upgrade" performance wise :(

The benefits of LGA are not born yet, so keep your system a little longer, or take a FX53 which should give you some decent numbers, and is pretty future proof for AMD side....
