I want someting that could power a CPU block, a GPU block, 2 (bonovelle) heater cores, and extra ammounts of tubing.

I was looking at this MAG 7 for only $48.44

Those will work sure. But, they are big and AC powered. I would suggest the D4/MCP650 which are almost as powerful yet only consume 16W and are 12v.

ok I'll look into it. noise and cost are an issue though.

how about a MAg3? its still more than powerful enough for that loop

well for $8-9 moree I could get twice as much power. Could I have trouble with the mag 7 being too powerful?

no it is almost impossible to have a pump that is too powerfull.

the mag 7 puts out too much heat so it would be counterproductive

I plan on runing two heater cores and in a "myths of watercooling" I read that the diferance between a 16W and like a 60W is about 1C. Since this is my pan: pump>RAD>cpu block>RAD2>gpu block>pump
It shouldn't make a diference.

well go ahead then =)

I'm going to use n old computer case (pre-ATX) and put all of my stuff in there, so the size of the pump wont matter much.

I suggest PCX30 ... for the price of HD20 (even cheaper a bit), same head, same power consumption, 800gph flow at 0' head ;)

I'm looking to spend half that and the MAg 7 is just about as good.
