I've hit this bug many times on this motherboard with my 2.6C and 2.8C, and everytime it just drives me nuts, my ram does great up to about 270 at 1:1 but try 300 and 5:4 and it won't even come close to getting into windows, but drop to 3:2 and then I can get another 300 mhz outta the CPU.

anything past 300 and 5:4 results in nothing happening after booting, and it doesn't matter what CPU I use... it always happens.

I thought this was only an issue with i865 boards?

I don't know, but it's a definate issue on my IC7.
this board seems to hate low multipliers for me :(

Yep, 300FSB with a 5:4 divider is a no go with this board. I can do 240 1:1 but not with the 5:4 divider. I think it's a bug.

well, that sucks...sorry guys. I wonder if those using the ASUS have thse problems?

I can run @ 300 5:4 w/ an Epox 4PCA3 so I think this maybe an Abit exclusive problem.

5:4 is harder on the NB then 1:1, so your RAM wont do as much as on 1:1. On 3:2 NB is even more stressed, but your RAM can handle it since they are at a really lower speed.

If you do all the mods, and 1.8V VDDQ(especially), you should get enough more... Hipro5 guide will serve again I think.

I did the Vchip mod to bump NB voltage from 1.48 to 1.68 and I still can't do 300 FSB 5:4. I'll just stick with 250 1:1. :D

Hipro said that you need at least 1.71V to see a difference, and 1.81V result him no problem....
