A little ghetto right now...gotta get the rad in the case yet & get a new pump(cracked the inlet housing, this is why I have it in a res right now). Specs in sig...got the vcore down to 1.95v now stable & 37-39c temps folding :D

P.S. Don't mind the dust :P

Ghetto is the way I like it :D
That looks like spiral block you made it yourself ? How wide is that heatercore , could you fit it your Antec case or is it too wide?
That 3M duct tape rocks :D

N8
11-07-2002, 10:17 AM
The Spir@l is a D-Tek....works well, I'm happy with it.

The heatercore is a Chevy Chevette core....and I currently have my rig all torn down, ready to put the water inside. The heater core's going under the drive bays...should fit no problem :)

morphling1
11-07-2002, 10:47 AM
Oh, I thought you made it yourself because I saw custom watercooling in your sig.
So then that heatercore is up to 18cm wide because that's what's antec width inside. I looked at similar smaller heatercore form GM Opel Corsa but it's 19cm wide is it doesn't fit in unless you started modifing that mobo plate in Antec...

N8
11-07-2002, 11:02 AM
I know it fits because I've seen fella's @ overclockers.com forums w/ my same case and the same rad and its in there.....its tight but it fits ;)

The Chevrolet Chevette heatecore is the way to go from what I've heard :)

morphling1
11-07-2002, 11:10 AM
Yeah I know that, but getting something like this here in Slovenia is wishfull thinking :)

N8
11-07-2002, 11:36 AM
Darn, lol. Not even from one of the Watercooling places online? They use the same heater core. :)

Did you take tests before you put the second fan on? I would like to see the difference a second fan makes.

N8
11-07-2002, 11:51 AM
Actually, no I didn't. I put both shrouds/fans on at the same time, so I'm not sure of the difference with just one, sorry.

So would I.:)

It's note like I'm underpowered or need better cooling, I take care of that :D
http://www2.arnes.si/~mlivak/new/Radiator1.jpg
http://www2.arnes.si/~mlivak/Gf4%20design/steps/Picture%20060.jpg

But I'd like to get some lower profile rad like 19*19 cm Opel Corsa hc for friends Antec case, so I don't lose both hdd cages in Antec, and there is one place where you can get BlackIce Pro but they are very expensive I can get used heatercore much cheaper, but the only low profile I find until now is that Corsa's , that Chavette would be realy perfect, but again ordering this hc from US would be quite expensive because of shipping costs, plus our lovely custom service add another 20% to s&h+price...
So back to searching does anyone of you know how European Ford heatercores looks like

N8
11-07-2002, 12:11 PM
I'll send you a Chevette heatercore if you send me a G4 waterblock like that :D

P.S. I said custom water-cooling in my sig so that I do not have to type out every component, lol. Its too much text anway :)

morphling1
11-07-2002, 03:09 PM
:D Maybe gpu only block like this just that I make it slightly larger to fit GF4 and it's mounting holes http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4599
If you add one quiet ball bearing 120mm fan then we got a deal ;)

N8
11-07-2002, 05:09 PM
I like ur blocks alot...I'm just wondering if shipping to Slovenia would cost me a fortune :)

P.S. I measured this radiator @ 6 3/8" wide by 7 3/8" tall. That's about 16cm wide by 19cm tall if my math is correct ;)

morphling1
11-10-2002, 03:49 AM
The size is perfect, let me know if you decide about trading.

N8
11-10-2002, 09:26 AM
Can you PM me your exact address & I'm going to try to get an idea of how much shipping might cost me. I know I sent something to a fella in Romania once and shipping was $75 USD & if it is that much, I don't think I can spring for it :(

However, if we don't work out a trade, perhaps I can buy 1 or 2 of these and ship them to ya if ya want to cover the costs :)

P.S. Would this fan suffice? http://www.svcompucycle.com/powcool120x2.html

it only takes 1.95 to run at 2024? because of what improvement?

nice setup -

N8
11-10-2002, 03:00 PM
Because of switching to watercooling. And that is old now...that was @ 2004MHz...I'm @ 2.2v to run 2024...cracks me up that it takes that much more voltage to do 20MHz more :D

have you tried shin etsu G-751 yet?

the properties seem to match a lot of results after curing period.

morphling1,

I'm in love w/ something I don't even own yet :slobber:

Rad/Fan shipping tonight via USPS...they're saying 4-10 days for delivery.

And to think I almost bought the swiftech ;)

That block looks sweet as hell, morph :D

Tweaked!
11-21-2002, 08:35 AM
I must agree here, Morphling, Tha's an awesome looking job you've done there. Pm me if you're interested in doing another one. The only thing I've done so far for my WC setup is the radiator. I've built one out of a a-coil for residential air conditioning. Was looking at ordering the Swiftech later on when I get through with xmas and all my families birthdays that are getting ready to hit me.:D

Btw, N8, your is looking good too.:)

morphling1
11-21-2002, 09:47 AM
Thanks, I also sent the block an hour ago should be there in 7-10days.
N8 report how it perform, and like I said be critical, so that I can improve :D

Btw. I'm in the process of designing new cpu block, but I wont disclose any information until I have it ready, cnc machined, should be mean as hell like most of my stuff ;) ;)

N8
11-21-2002, 10:13 AM
Well, I wont have much to compare it to other than my current crazy air-cooling I got goin on on the GPU.....but we'll see if it out performs that ;)

Also very interested to see if it makes my CPU run any hotter.

Either way, it looks like a superb block...I'll definitely let you know how I make out :D

N8, it looks like the fan shrouds may not be covering the entire fin area. Have you tried a more generously sized pair of shrouds?

I'd really like to know how you make a block like that. A step by step explanation would be great, but to start, what tools are you using?

morphling1
11-22-2002, 03:15 PM
uf, step by step for starters I'm using desktop classic mill.
Here you can read how I made 8500 waterblock in steps :
http://www.extremecooling.org/ec/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=62
Or here for GF4 maxy waterblock: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3679
I will write up article how I made that block, with every step pictured and explained for our local web page but I will also translate it to english for everybody

N8 i nearly have the same setup as you with a home made shroud out of cereal cardboard. If you remove the fan holder you can put that heatercore there i've tried it but i keep outside of my case because i want to get the best temp
morphling1 how much does one of your gpu wb cost and the one with the ram block? And to ship it to france? PM me if necessary
