CM Stakcer owners please read :)

I have a question to CM Stacker owners.

I am planning on getting one of these fantastic looking cases at the end of this month, and I want to change the 120mm fans that come with the case.

From what I understand, the case comes with two 120mm fans. One at the back, and one attached to the 4in3 HDD rack
Correct me if I am wrong...

I want to replace them with Panaflo fans (120x120x38)
Do you think this will be a problem? I've heard of some cases only being able to take 120x120x25 size fans.

I have one but I am waiting for it to be replaced because it came with a dent on the top.

You're right the fans are 120x120x25 but I think you should be able to change the rear fan easily. I'll have to check for the fan that sits infront of the HDD cage, cause maybe there isn't enough clearance to fit a 38mm fan.

No the 120 x 120 x 38 fans don't fit in front of the HDD case cause there is no space between the 120 x 120 x25 mm fan and the black blanking plate.

What if you removed the front place and put some nice Evercool or other great looking 38mm fans ?

In that case yes definitely, but I think the mesh give some nice uniformity and style to the front of the Stacker. I would still leave the front plates and place a nice LED Fan. Thatwill look good, that's what I am going to do.

Can you put an LED fan on a fan controller?

what happens to the LED's when you lower the voltage? do they become dimmer?

Depends on the fans some of fan's LED dimish when voltage is reduced other don't. Mine don't but they are not labelled so I don't know what brand they are.

if you buy screws, you'll be okay with the back, but the front, it'll stick out too much.

Otherwise, I suggest the TT fans, they seem to be ok ;)
