OK guys.
For those who would like the modded BT bios for the IT7, I'm putting the file on my webspace.
I changed the memory voltage option up to 3.2V and all PCI dividers are available.
I'm using this bios myself and it works fine, no problems at all.
Just unzip the file to a floppy, go to pure DOS mode and run the file named "RUNME.BAT". Installation goes automatically, just follow the onscreen instructions.

Would that work for an IT7-Max2 Rev1?

Any difference between this and the modded A5 BIOS?

It should work for the IT7-2 users as well, unless he disabled the ps\2 support.

I haven't changed anything except the 3.2V option and all PCI dividers. Some options aren't accessible and cannot be changed. You can change the bios with "modbin6.exe" a little proggy that runs under DOS and which is pretty easy to use.
No big difference between this bios and the modded A4 bios, performance is about the same and it works fine for me.

Here's a copy from the "readme.txt" (original BT bios). Should work on the IT7 Max2 rev. 1 boards.

I was impatient so i went ahead and flashed and sure enough it works great on my board. I managed to get my ram which was limited to 160fsb up to 174fsb with the extra volts. I'd like to setup a vcore and vmem volt mod for my board but i have as of yet not seen someone post one. If you've seen one toss me a bone please :)

I think it's the same as the mod for the KX7-333 Mr Icee did here (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1433) except you only need to solder to pin 7 and not pin 10. Perhaps someone can verify this, I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, the corevolt-tweak are the same, the chip is sitting left for the cpu.
The menvoltmod is not the same, and are more komplikatet, the best you can do is to raise the 5 volt on the psu to about 5.5V then the max mamvolt vill bee 3.04-3.07 V

Best OC regards

Jupiler think you can mod a Gyga Byte Bios for more vdimm???

Jupiler

I think that's gonna be a little more difficult. ns_ripper told me that the Gigabyte bios's end with .f3
He tried modding it with modbin.exe but couldn't get it to work.
I can try and look what tools might be needed but I must say, that I'm not an expert in modding bios's. I modded these one because modbin6.exe is easy to use.
But I'm willing to hav a look at it if you want to.

Hello,
are you saying you could could get to 160 fsb with the modded A4 bios, and managed 174 fsb with the BT bios from Juliper?

Both the modded A4 and the BT bios'es share the same Vmem.

he is referring to the higher memory voltage you get with the modified BIOS. The BIOS has hidden voltage options up to 3.2. You can modify the BIOS and then you get it. At 3.0 (for example) you can often run the RAM higher than at 2.75.

Hi Chainbolt,

I have the A5 or modded A4 BIOS, and it already has Vmem of 3.2v as does Julipers BIOS. Since they both share the identical Vcore and Vmem, I was wondering if the end result shouln't be the same??

I tried the BT BIOS too Mike, and there was no difference that I could see, they're both great.

Ohh but there is. For V2.0 version of IT7 MAX2.
And when u look at it wiht modbin it already has the hyperthreading option in there.
I wonder whats taking them so long to release this bios for the other MAX boards?

Anyone else attempting to install a BIOS Savior in an IT7 find that the battery interferes with the PLCC extractor?
