my bh-5's top out around 250 mhz and benchable at 260 but i want something to run at 275 to 280 stable with 3.0 to 3.2

If you get the OCZ EB, you will likely to reach those FSB at tighter timings than the OCZ 4000. You might get 2.5-2-2-7 timings on the EB, or 3-2-2-7.
