I think it would be positive for all of us newbies, post your phase change(compresor, cap tube size and lengh, gas), procesor watts, temps in your evap and temps under load in your procesor.
We could compare several systems.

All the systems differ so much, comparisons really would not be valid.

BTW

Compressor: Danfoss NL11F
Cap Size: 0.67mm
Length: 3.44m
Gas: R404A(160psi)+R410A(180psi)+R290(200psi)
Processor: P4 SL6WU 3.06c
Procesor Heat Output: 110J/s
T-evap-unloaded: -46c
T-evap-loaded: -6c

I used a stock Danfoss condensor radiator-design, but I'm looking to substitute that in for something with a little more surface area.

100, I know that all systems are different, but we could get some info with just to see what others are using.
For example, looking at your data, it seams that you have 40c D/T, so dont you think you need to make your cap tube shorter than that?

Captube of your system is too long 100
Try 2.1 meter :)

I have 2 systems bieng evacuated right now, so tomorrow I will charge with R502
compresor: Tecumseh TW1410AS 1/3 R12 LBP
Gas: R502
Cap tube 1: 2,10 mts of 0.028 for 200watts load
Cap tube 2: 2,5mts of 0.028 for 170 watts load
Temps we will see tomorrow :D

I'm using chilly1 evaps in both and some custom condensers.

Hey, my cap tube is fine. I'm not up for shortening my cap tube, because it would mean dismantling. Right now I'm too busy with work. I'm currently CNCing my own evaps, they're goin pretty good in this system. I'm getting 4.6 from a 3.4E and 4.2 from a sl6wu, which may not be the most competitve benchmarks, but is fast enough for me... at the moment :)

Mine obviously could do with a tweak here and there, but I'm really busy at the moment (at a building site :p: ) and I don't often get much time off work.

I got most of my kit from a prometeia which had a leak in the pathetic corrugated steel hosing they use(d). Pfff... useless.

How do you buy 1kg of a high pressure gas??? We cannot buy anything in england in 1kg containers except 134. Smallest 502 container I have ever heard of is 7.6kg, I am probably very wrong :p:

The importer is a friend of mine, they sell me what I want to buy at really discount prices.
1kg of R502 costs here U$S18, I got it for U$S10

That aint too cheap per kg, but if you are getting it in 1kg sample cartons, you're on to a winner there!

I order direct from A-gas, everyone else in the UK just resells either a-gas, std. suva or solkane refrigerants.

blergo if you are in the uk, i have trade accounts with most uk refrigeration suppliers, so you're welcome to place orders through me.

steve bennett/r.a.bennett ltd (www.rabtherm.co.uk) do exceptionally cheap gas if you need some in small quantities (5-15kg, works out especially good if you buy more from them)
