I have a very weird 3.0 Prescott ES here.
it did 4.01 ghz on air.

3.8 stable at default.
3.9 on watercooling.

then with phase change-4.1 max completly unstable.
so basically, phase change did nothing more, then air did for this CPU...

thats very weird.
is there anything I am missing about the prescott, or did this CPU seriously maxed out on air?

I honestly wish I could help you out K, my bad to intrude on your thread but I am just as curious as you. I will spread this around with the few Prescott peeps I know.
BTW, congrats on a killer air cooled chip;)

Out of curiosity what kind of speeds can you get out of your mems?

I think its just maxed out completely.

I can get about 270 cas 2-2-2-5 outta my ram on a good day.
267 cas 2.5-2-2-5 on other days.

I have a 3.2E D0 Stepping, it does about 4ghz with 1,45v with watercooling. With dry ice I was "only" able to get about 4,5ghz. The weird thing was that it oced better with less voltage (the best result was with 1,48v afaik). Whit 1,58v i wasn't able to get 4,2ghz stable...
So these D0 steppings are very weird CPUs in my opion

Kunaak,
Is that the one we'd talked about from my guy? It'll go higher than that! I had a 3.0E ES C1 that went 4609 with the baseplate at -30C. I'm SURE there's something ELSE going on.... is it on P4C800?

Actually 4010 at 1.52v is good......
I see, HW doctor = Abit IC7.........
Try to light it up @ 1.65V.......
