Now that the 256mb is out, which would offer better overclocking potential. Stil the 256mb? Or will the 512mb do just as good? Thank ya.

Out of a pure OC-minded perspective you should get the 256MB module.

It should OC a few Mhz more.

But I would get a 512mb stick now for everyday use it will be more usable.
(Im thinking for memory intesive apps and games as UT2003)

I'd get a 256mb stick, then get another matching stick when granite bay/Nforce2 dual channel boards come out. What do you guys think ?

Well I'm getting two of either 256 or 512. Like I said whichever performs better. I think I'm just gonna go w/ two 512mb.

2 sticks together usually don't go aswell as 1stick :(
Something todo with best bank & sharing voltages or somthing

Go for the 1x 512Mb then

I'm with sysfailur here, I'm thinking of getting some 3500 and I'm wondering whether to get 2 sticks of 256, 1 stick of 512, or 2 sticks of 512... I've got 2 sticks of 256 Mushkin PC3000 now, but I'm upgrading my system soon and selling off all my old parts to a friend. I'm more interested in real world PC performance than competitive benching... which would suit me better?

I've decided to for sure go w/ 2 512mb. I need the extra ram as this rig will be running LOTS of stuff @ once.

Hey Sys, let me know how it works out... I may do the same thing, but I haven't decided yet...

You got it. I should have them soon. Will be running it on an AT7-MAX2 w/ my 2400+ (but I'm going to be aircooling this rig and using it as a 24/7 comp). It'll be oc'ed of course, but just not as much as my benching comps ;)

Heh, you overclockers are funny... I just want some good o/cing sticks so I can run lots of things at once. I only use 1 comp at a time, same comp for 24/7 use as for benching...
