Yes, I already talked to them about the VCore modification and possibly the others. They don't have a board for reference right now. I need to give them information which chip is used on the Asus A7N266/E/C series of boards. I am looking into the A7N266-C based on the 415-D chipset myself and I need the Vcore! If you can check your motherboard, is the board using the HIP6301 chip? If it is, the VCore modification "should" be easy.

It seems the HIP 6301 is becoming the standard with all the new boards.

yes I forgot to post but I can do 'user defined' in the bios
I have seen screen shots where it does over 160fsb as stock options with no mods!!

I talked with an ASUS dealer who sells the A7N266-e MOBO - he said he doesn't carry and has never seen them and that you have to go throw ASUS directly to obtain one - well at least I am one step closer!!!
I scored an thermaltake ram heat speader for 6 bucks also.... they had the price marked wrong so I will have to go back and get a few more!

in that case I would just sell my board for 200 - and I would keep the chip and heat sink
but I doubt it becuase they tell you about the card and have it's own serial number and everything - it SHOULD be sold separately!
but gotta wait and see.

It would probably help to keep the chipset very cool especially for clocking purposes with all that integration.

I test fitted by block... fits perfectly - doesn't over hang much on the south bridge... but does fully cover and is cold to the touch - this should work great once I fire it up.

I will prolly sell off my first A7N266 for around 100+shipping - the board new is around $200...
I just wanted the proper 6 hannel setup - the first board does the 6channel - just not how I wanted it to.

Heh, yeah I'm sure. But I used to work for Gateway. RMA'ed many motherboards because Gateway is too stupid to send a card if the integrated chip dies.
