Just finished up my R22 waterchiller, now I need to pump the water through my GPU block.

How cold will the E1250 still operate correctly?

What pump do you people whom have waterchillers use?

I have a 1250 in my cooler, it has handled -30c sofar.

Will:)

I would assume the Eheim will pump a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and distilled water down to 35c,much as my system does.

I utilize a Danner magdrive 750GPH pump very effectively in my system. I will forewarn you tho that despite whatever hose size you use...the colder the cooling medium is the slower the flow will be. This is why guys with -50- to -60c coolant temps change to methanol type mixes to avoid the viscosity problems associated with glycol/distilled water type mixes:)

Now, do you fellas just sit the pump in the rez?

I think I may be having problems with it already. The water is freezing around the evaporator which really sucks. I may have to switch to pure ethylene gycol instead of just a mixture.

MrIcee

I know you use R22 as well, What are your evaporator temps?

And do you still get condensation on the collector and last bit of the evaporator that is not in the liquid? I have 40' evaporator and this stuff is still getting Icee :)

Where can I get a methanol based coolant on a Saturday?

Thank you very much my friends.
