something is wrong. the PSU is wired correctly, the TEC is hooked to the PSU, the light does not come on the PSU, the TEC does not get cold or hot........ so what is the deal? ideas?

Does the light come on the cpu with the TEC disconnected?
If not, the psu may be dead.
If so then perhaps the psu can't handle the load being there at start up, try connecting the pelt after the psu has been on a few seconds.
If that doesen't work... then the tec could be bad causing a dead short.(would cause psu to shut off)

Try hooking a fan onto the PSU or something to see if it spins. If it does, then presumably the PSU works.

i got it working about a week ago. seemed the power lead wire in the cord had gotten torn and was not connected inside the rubber surround. replaced it and worked fine
