I have several duel xeon 1 u servers colocated in texas that i run game servers on. Most game servers run from a command line or .bat file. I have been trying to get a Joint Ops server up and running but in order to start the server you have to actually start the game meaning i need hardware acceleration and dx enabled. Once the server is running it is no longer video dependant, just to get the server launched. The server has both onboard video and a rage xl 8 meg card. I was told that the rage xl does not support 3d at all. So i tried dissabling the card and running the onboard graphics but it still does not give me the option to get to advanced setting to enable acceleration. This is a dell power edge 1750. Does anyone know if it is possible to do what i need to do or do I need to buy a better pci card and have it installed in the server?
