I don't have the new mobo yet (an Abit KD7-Raid) so I put it in my KX7-333R. All I can say is wow!

I've only had it a couple of hours and I'm already up to 2175MHz on air! The new mobo will allow me access to alll of the multipliers so I should be able to have this thing screaming before long. But this board's vcore tops out at 1.85 so I don't think I'll even try to go much farther until I get the new board.

This chip has legs!

nelamvr6,

Very nice!

I'm sure you'll get some more MHz outta that thing with the KD7 ;)

Nice, it'll be a while before I can pick up a better chip.

BTW, nelamvr6, could you make your sig a little smaller? It's a little too big.

Hmmm... still on dial up?

Edit: There, better?

BTW, I'm now at 2220 MHZ on air on the current mobo. I can't wait to get the KD7 and see what she'll do!

I tried to get there and it would boot, but I just didn't feel like it was stable. It passed Prime95, but there were little things like small stutters in the sound when listening to MusicMatch. So I just backed off a little. I'm content to run at 2220 and install the new mobo on Monday.

2400+ Aircooled, 2339mhz stable on 8k5a3+ @ 2.08v. You might wanna up the voltage. They can handle it.

I will as soon as the new mobo comes in on Monday. My current board tops off at 1.85V.

Here's mine on H20 with a KD-7....still tweaking to get the right balance. It feels like there might be another 100 mhz in there :)

just a Dtek customs basic kit with a cooler core rad (actually sitting at 32c right now).... here's a pic

http://home.sc.rr.com/dafrays/Procs 003.jpg

had this setup for about a year. Normally there's a second 3/8" res and rad crammed in there hooked up to a watercooled Ti4600. For some reason the KD-7 won't boot video with the Ti4600 hooked up. That's my kid's air cooled Ti500, pending either a new Ti4600 or an Ati 9700.

The Ti4600 boots fine in my former KR7A but not in this KD-7 or my kids Epox 8KHA+. No video. Strange indeed. The kids get the KR7A with the Ti4600 which still works with it.

Nope, cable. Just stretches the page and then gotta scroll to read the posts.

Very nice work indeed. Those 2400+'s are looking better than I first expected. Surprised you haven't picked one of those chips up, Randi. Still holdin' out for the 2700+ or better?
