Question about flashing cards

Hi, I tried to flash a 9800se into 9800np and I think I messed up because the system does not boot up afterwards... here is what I did, and was wondering if there was any fix.

I have: Sapphire 9800se - softmods fine

1. I tried to hardmod by shorting 2 resisters (conductive grease)
2. I forgot to boot into DOS
3. I thought maybe winflash would work
4. Winflash refuses to flash my card because of wrong device ID
5. Changed 9800np bios to have same ID as 9800se
6. Winflashed
7. Got an error from winflash (do not remember what it said..)
8. Computer refuses to post.
9. Stuck in PCI card, no avail.
10. Removed 9800se, using computer with PCI card

Anyone guess what happened? is my card dead? :confused:

try putting the 9800se in and turning on your machine then letting it sit for 5-10 mins to see if it will get a video signal.

I tried to flash my 9700np to 9800xt for fun once and could not get a video signal so I walked away and came back 15 minutes later.. had a video signal! :D

Reflashed to 9700 pro and all was fine.

Hm.. I'll try leaving it in for a bit when I get home...
but I think my problem is like somehow not POSTing >.<
when I turn the comp on, it will not even access the floppy...

I do remember that Macci somehow flashed his 9800se ->xt and did not POST, but he seemed to have fixed it... I think I read this somewhere at akiba-pc... but I'm not exactly sure...

but yeah.. I'll go and try leaving it on for a bit. Thanks
