I managed to get this memory pretty cheap (round 200$) and I'm wondering how it performs. I've read almost all reviews about them but none of them really show how good it overclocks. I did find out that you can easily reduce the timings for more bandwith :D . Does anyone have this memory and wants to share his thoughts about it  ?

$200 for a gig is a good deal. I will assume its 3-4-4-8 timings stock. You dont want this. underclock the ram, first start at 200fsb and hope it can do 3-3-3-8 at that. Then push it 10MHz at a time.

I had some geil 4200 that I reached DDR 620 with.

310 at 1:1.
I then sold the ram to "tedinde" here, and he's been running it at 290+ since.
I think he's CPU limited if I remember right, due to the high multiplier. not sure though...

I wouldn't hesitate to buy Geil memory again if I needed it.

I have GEIL thats over 1.5 yrs old and does what it claims

runs at 220-225 1:1 at 2-3-2-6 and its rated at 433 PC3500

so it does as advertised. for a comparison try this link

I just ran it at 216.5 mhz 1:1 at 2-2-2-5 timings and got the following

I have 1 gig of Geil Golden Dragon Ultra Dual Channel PC3200 series chips. Currently, due to the limitation of my board, its stable at 250fsb, oc'd CPU at 3.75 from 3.0E

I love the memory, its great for overclocking, and looks cool too.

Any results from this ram yet? I can get this too for pretty cheap. It sounds good to me (DDR500 @ 2.5-4-4-7) for under $220 CAD.

I had some of this RAM. It was incredible on my 865PE Intel board, not too bad on my Asus A8N-SLI board, but not so good on my DFI Ultra-D. I COULD NOT get it to run 1T on the DFI, but I could on the A8N-SLI. YMMV.

Okay, I'll probably avoid it then since I'm probably getting the DFI mobo.

I can get OCZ PC3200 EL Plat Rev.2 TCCD for $275 CAD. Anyone know if this memory works well with the Lanparty?

Search for that RAM and you will find some good threads. I just posted in one asking for comparisons to the G.Skill LE I run and am loving. If it is close, I'll be buying a set of it myself. It is cheap compared to the G.Skill and the OCZ VX. :toast:

i've always had good luck with geil. And my first bh5's years ago turned out to be geil, and was dropping jaws when the first dual channel boards came out.
