I'm closing in on building my first computer and was wondering what you guys thought about it.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+
Motherboard: Asus A8V-Deluxe
Power Supply: Enermax 550W
RAM: 2x512MB Sticks of Corsair DDR400 XMS3200 Dual-Channel Memory
Soundcard: Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Gamer Edition.
Hard Drive: 160GB Serial ATA Seagate Barracuda.
Videocard: Radeon X800 XT or 6800 Ultra (Which would you guys suggest?)
DVD: NEC 8X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive
CD: Plextor 52x32x52 CD-RW Drive
Case: Enermax Seahawk
Floppy: Samsung 1.44MB Floppy Drive
Fans: Vantec 80mm Stealth Fan

Would you suggest I get an Antec power supply or stick with the Enermax one and how are motherboards using a VIA chipset?

Drop the Plextor Premium and the NEC DVD writer, and get the Plextor PX-712A drive(or the SATA version), it's awesome.
For vidcard, GeForce6800 GT would be a good choice, the X800XT and G6800U are too expensive.
The Seagate drive is not fast ot silent, thus I would get a Maxtor or Hitachi drive instead.
I would get another PSU and case as well, CM Stacker is a good case, and Antec PSU, or PCP&C or even Forton.
