No officially announced system requirements yet, but rumor has it that in this up and coming issue, PC Gamer suggests that Doom 3 will run "well" on a 2Ghz CPU, 512 MB ram, and a Radeon 9800 series. (Hmm, makes one wonder, what about Nvidia?)

They supposedly gave it a 94% rating. In addition there'll be a deathmatch mode, max 4 players, that will be included in the game.

Slated September review. So then it's pretty safe to assume that the game is just about wrapped up.

It went gold a couple days ago. Looks like we finally get the real deal.

It's official now.
DOOM 3 has gone gold and has been confirmed today by idSoftware.
Release scheduled first week of august for the US, and 1 week later for the rest of the world.

Supposedly the full text of the PC Gamer review is already out and available (it's been posted to a number of forums), but be warned, it contains spoilers, so if you want to remain spoiler free, dont' go reading any old forum posting!

It was here (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=31956) , but this morning in its place there's some text that reads:

Sorry guys.. images and text got pulled... pm me if you want the scoop

((REMOVED AT THE REQUEST OF PC MAGAZINE))

I'm sure I saw it at least two other forums. I'll post if I refind it. I'm surprised it hasn't showed up in the slashdot thread...

(edit)

Post #95 in this thread (http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33769327&page=4&pp=30).

5th august in North america 13th august in Sweden. No video card available today can max Doom 3 out. You need a 512 mb video card for ULTRA HIGH mode ;).

Playable res at HIGH settings on X800XT and 6800 ULTRA supposedly to be 1024x768 so it´s like Far Cry except it´s not the 9800 PRO you need for that it´s the new twice as fast video cards 6800 ULTRA and x800XT... That was with 1 gig of RAM I think and an A64 or Intel P 3.4 gig...
