Can you use Lucite on water blocks in a chiller? At what temperature does it crack? Also what about orings on waterblocks..... do they crack?

O-rings get dry because of the ethanol / methanol.

They doesn't stay leakfree.

And lucite tops crack under low temperatures when there is some stress on them (fittings screwed in etc).

Soldered copper is still the way to go :D

Use teflon, it will be better than o-rings

i guess when we order the blocks we should order a spare o-ring.
and do regular services on our blocks
like changing the oil in our car

rubber doesn't seal the block well enough to keep methanol and ethanol inside. It leaks through.

Teflon is the only stuff that can seal something ;)
i prefer soldering + teflon myself.
