you mean mp39, r12 replacement? If I use an R12 replacement it's going to be AutoFrost.. That stuff is really close to R12 and is safe to work with... Or.. is that mp39 r22 replacement? I forget..

It is an R12 replacement, if I were to replace R12 I would use something like ohhh, R290 :)
R12 is over rated, along with R404.....

Aenigma has a major love with 290.. I'll admit it is damn good.. But I am starting to broaden my view on things.. Like.. R22.. I have R22 now and I am charging a direct die system with it.. Infact I am pretty much going to be charging all the systems that I build for people with R22.. pretty much because I have to ship the system to the person then.. and I don't like the idea of shipping R290 very much..

Uhm thats kind of funny hearing that from you, since you preach about R290 even more than I do.I used R22 before you even considered it a viable refrigerant.

One of the reasons you like R22 now, is because you have an a/c unit with access valves and your going to get the r22 out of that. :p

Uh.. No I always considered 22 a viable refrigerant.. just never had access to it.. I thought it was expensive out the wazoo.. now that I know that it is pretty cheap.. I am going to start using it..

Not to mention I had no way to obtain r22.. so how could I use it? The only reason I want to use the R22 outta this AC unit is because I need to ship a direct-die chiller to a customer and I don't like the idea of shipping r290..

Yes I know that, just annoying how you say I have a "major love" when you like it just as much or more than I do....

Yea.. dude.. everytime you talk about refrigeration you say, just use r290.. use 290.. use 290.. whatever this ain't the place to get into one of your asshat arguements

cannt we all just get along. ha ha ha.
now guy's who has been using r22 and tried to tell everyone how cheap and effective it is....... me...but thats ok as long as everyone is happy.

UaZa i told you before nice system and i mean it.use what ever you want as long as you are happy with the results dont worry.i have been using r22 all along with all my systems.and just cause i had access to all i need.if i didnt i would use r290(should make aenigma smile)or something close. but it helps i buy refrigerant at dealer prices....did i forget..... damm i am a dealer.got new price sheet in today r22 only 41.50 per 30lbs .helps when i have been doing this for so long.

You can get 30lb cylinder from Grainger for 68.00.. I never had access to such refrigerants before.. I still don't.. I haven't gotten my EPA 608 universal license yet.. but I can anytime I want to.. and I am still going to use propane most likely.. But Most of my customers I have to ship the system too.. so I ain't shipping 290.

Should make me smile?Actually I am not a pro R290 recruiter like punisher is saying. He pimps it more than sysfailur pimps his cryofreezer.I just recomend it as a cheap refrigerant. There are plenty of other refrigerants that will own propane, if you can get them...

i am on the same level as aenigma on this issue.. except my eyes are opening and I am recommending other refrigerants if you can get them.. besides I still find 290 to be a great refrigerant for testing your system for leaks and all that.. no need in wasting other valuable refrigerants to leaks n what not.

Yup if you can get something else, by all means use it.
R290 is very good to test with, but it isnt on the same level as alot of refrigerants used specifically for low temp units...
But it does beat the pants off of R134 and R401 :)

OOh I'll agree with that.. I could charge my system wtih my urine and it would still beat the pants offa 134a!!
