To the owners of those sticks: what timings and voltage do you use to achieve the highest stable OC ? Plz also mention your board. Thanks a lot :)

I have a weird XMS3200 C2 here........it doesn't even boot at cas 2.5, enhance off. It is stable at 211 cas 2-6-3-3 enhance on (prime for 23 hours fine) but can't go any higher..........I'm not sure what timings are the best though.......

It's interesting that my Samsung PC2700 is stuck at the same speed: 211MHz (cas 2.5-6-3-3 enhance off) :/ My 1.6A can go up to 182Mhz FSB stable so I don't think it's the CPU (board is BD7-II RAID). Also, I had a XMS2700 stick that primed for 3 days at 217MHz........I dunno what's wrong with my 2 sticks now :(

Btw I had the RAM in DIMM 2 but it wasn't good, so I switched to DIMM 1 and it's a bit more stable, but still no great improvement on OCing :/

Appreciate any suggestion :)

I'm currently testing a new BIOS for the 8K3A but I'm runnin approximately 200MHz FSB @ 3v w/ most aggressive timings - Cas2, 4-way, 2, 5, 2, 1T...2912 BIOS right now.

256MB DIMM of Samsung PC2700 CTL.

as you can see in my sig on my P4 1.8A@2628 system

512MB Samsung PC2700 TCB3 non-generic
@194.67mhz
2.5-3-3-7 @2.9v

rock stable through 12 hrs goldmem and 26 hrs memtest

my P4 1.8A is holding it back as max FSB i can get is 146mhz on this cpu

have you tried 1:1 ratios running 12 - 24hr memtest and goldmem first

Same problem here with Kingston PC3200 (Winbond BH-5) and BD7-II. At cas 2.5, whatever timing, i can't boot above fsb 162 (ddr 215, 3:4 ratio) but with cas2, 6,3,3, enhanced on, it can do ddr 456 (fsb 171, 3:4 ratio) :eek: :eek: :eek:

Hey, although this doesn't exactly apply to those sticks, this might help. I have an Asus CUV266 with a stick of Crucial PC2100 running at the most aggressive timings - 2T across the board and 5T - with 4 bank interleave, etc. etc. The stick is marked for CAS 2.5 and a voltage of 2.5v, but I've upped it to 2.65v to keep it stable with normal 133 FSB. It seems to like faster timings with higher FSBs (I've easily gotten up to 166 fsb... that's equivalent to DDR333 :D)
