FWIW I just got yet another 512mb BH-5 chipped module from Zip-Zoom-Fly for 114 delivered. KHX3000/512.

That makes three in a row for me. Two KHX2700/512, and now a KHX3000/512, all BH-5 chipped.

Just an update to the post.

Without volt modding, I have just gotten the KHX2700/512 sticks in single channel to run 228 mHz FSB at 2-2-2-5 at 2.9 volts in BIOS, Memtest86 stable. I will shoot for 228 Mhz FSB in dual channel over the weekend.

Not bad for under 200 dollars for a gigabyte of BH-5!!

If you give it enought voltage, it'll probably do 230 at 2225

i've been buying these pc3000 for over a year from zipzoom/googlegear along with everyone else. I've probably bought $5000 worth of kingstons in the last 2 years. They have all been BH5's.

how does this stuff clock? My last two KHX3000's (all 256MB sticks) have only been able to clock to ~230 stable w/ 3.3 vdimm.

230 bucks for a gig of ras cas 2 RAM is a helluva deal.

I bought about 12 sticks of pc3000 a year ago. All 512. Worst one did like 225 with 2.9v Best did 245 with 2.9v. All were bh5.

These might be the crappy chips that OCZ was telling people they had decided not to buy, if theya re only hitting 230 with 3.3vdimm. I've not seen bh5 that couldn't hit ~245-260 with 3.3vdimm.
